There is not a lot new to report this week.  Not much has changed, but things are good.

How far along in this pic + the Date: 14 Weeks, 1 Day — November 21st, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: Zero.  Still around 128.
Maternity clothes? I ordered a pair of khakis for work and some leggings from The Gap.  Too soon to wear them still though.
Sleep: Some nights I have found it hard to fall asleep…but with Thanksgiving break I’ve also found time for about 3 naps this week, and have gotten to sleep much past my usual 5:15a, so that could be why.
Best moment this week: Getting to see lots of family and share in the excitement with all of them.
Miss Anything? No cherry wine for me at the Shuler fish fry…but there’s always next year.
Movement: Nope, but I’m ready.
Food cravings: Fried potatoes and crappie really hit the spot.  Plus lots of chocolate.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Have you started to show yet: Yup.
Gender prediction: None.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Up and down.
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move.

13 Weeks November 17, 2012

This was definetely not a lucky 13th week. I have been battling a nasty cold for a week-and-a-half, and even stayed home from school one day. Hoping to be completely over it by early next week. I’ve got family to see and a house to decorate for Christmas!  :)

How far along in this pic + the Date: 13 Weeks, 1 Day — November 14th, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: I finally bought a scale.  So I’m going to use that for my weekly weight updates here.  According to it, I weigh 128.  My normal pre-pregnancy weight is somewhere between 123 and 125…so I still haven’t gained much.
Maternity clothes? My friend Katie loaned me a belly band, but I haven’t needed it just yet.
Sleep: Sleep is good, especially now that I am able to stay up past 8:30p!
Best moment this week: When Adam finally got home from his hunting trip to Macon.  I also finally allowed myself to get my hair cut and color, since I’m in the 2nd trimester.  It was looooong overdue.  Way too many grays, I desparately needed a trim, and I got rid of the ombre.
Have you told family and friends: The only people in my life I haven’t made an announcement to is my students.  A few of them know because they have ties to my tennis players.  I don’t plan on telling them…I think it will be a lot more fun to see their reactions as it becomes blatantly obvious.
Miss Anything? Wine.  Not that I drink it that often anyway, but I have two bottles that have been in my fridge since right before I found out and I have been dying to drink them.  Even just one glass!
Movement: I swear I felt something I had never felt last night…but I think maybe it was just wishful thinking.
Food cravings: Nothing at all this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yes!  Look at the picture above.  I am not about to go out wearing a shrit that fitted though, so it’s not quite as obvious.
Gender prediction: No inklings this week.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, except for this cold.
Weekly Wisdom: There are hardly any meds I can take to battle a cold.  And, Tylenol does not work nearly as well as Advil!
Looking forward to: Seeing family this week at Thanksgiving festivities.  For some, it will be the first time I see them in person since they’ve heard the news.  Can’t wait!

12 Weeks November 11, 2012

Filed under: Baby,Pregnancy by Week — LindseyJuly @ 7:03 PM

This was a very busy week, but also very exciting.  Adam and I went to our 12 week appointment and got to actually HEAR the heartbeat for the first time.  It was one of the coolest moments so far!  The worst part is that now we have to wait another whole month before we get to hear the baby again.  I would imagine though, that in those 4 weeks we will be able to see that he/she is growing!

How far along in this pic + the Date: 12 Weeks, 1 Day — November 7th, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: 4 lbs total since my first visit dr visit 5 weeks ago.  @ 130 lbs.
Maternity clothes? We stopped at the Gap Outlet on our way home from Macon last weekend, and I bought two big/long comfy sweaters.
Sleep: I’m able to stay up much later than before.  However, if I am sitting around the house doing nothing in the early afternoon, I’m very ready for a nap.  Needless to say this only happens on Saturday’s.
Best moment this week: Our 12 week ultrasound where we got to hear the heartbeat.
Have you told family and friends: This was also the week that we spread the goods to everyone else that still didn’t know.  I told my coworkers and we made it public on Facebook.
Miss Anything? Deli sandwiches and not being able to eat seafood as many times a week as I would like.
Movement: Still too early for that.
Food cravings: CHEESE, just like last week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week.
Have you started to show yet: A little bump so far – but really it just looks like I had a bit too much to eat for dinner.  Certain clothes make it more obvious.
Gender prediction: The Chinese Gender Calendar claims it’s a boy.
Belly Button in or out? Still in…I’m guessing for quite a while longer.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Depends on the hour.  I did cry when Adam left to go hunting for the entire weekend.  Don’t think I would have normally done that!
Weekly Wisdom: Buy a bellyband.  On my do-to-list.
Looking forward to: Our next dr. appointment where we get to set the date for the ultrasound that will reveal the gender.

11 Weeks November 1, 2012

Finally at week 11 I got around to taking my first bump picture…which is appropriate, since this is the first week that I have begun to really notice growth in my mid-section, particularly when buttoning my higher waisted pants.  I don’t think I’m prepared for maternity clothes!  But I am looking forward to sharing the news with others so that they do not think I am simply packing on extra pounds.  Vain, I know.  :$

How far along in this pic + the Date: 11 Weeks, 1 Day — October 31, 2012
Total weight gain/loss: I have no idea.  Must buy a scale!
Maternity clothes? I did some online shopping last week and bought several shirts from Gap and Old Navy.  So far though, still wearing my regular clothes.  Tighter fitting shirts are now off the table though.
Stretch marks? No, and I’m hoping this won’t happen…like the other lovely women I descended from.
Sleep: I’m finally starting to not feel quite as exhausted as I did in month 2.  However, I’m most tired when getting up in the mornings.  Never feel like I have gotten enough sleep.
Best moment this week: Sharing the news with my grandparents.  Nannie was especially excited!
Have you told family and friends: Getting very close to telling them all.
Miss Anything? Beer and wine, which I never drank that much of on a regular basis anyway.  So that seems strange.  I also miss deli turkey sandwiches.
Movement: Not that I have felt, but based on what I have read, Baby Erickson is now moving around in there!
Food cravings: CHEESE, Taco Bell, cinnamon sugar pop-tarts.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Onions make me want to gag, as well as green bananas.
Have you started to show yet: A little belly starting to show…but ultimately it just looks like I constantly have eaten a very large meal.
Gender prediction: Leaning towards a boy, but really have no idea why I’m thinking that.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: It’s a roller-coaster between the two consantly.                                                                                              Baby purchases?  Nothing yet.  I bought “The Belly Book” to document my pregnancy.  But still haven’t bought one thing for the baby.
Weekly Wisdom: Using a rubber band on my buttons to give me an extra inch.  Haven’t had to try it yet, but guessing I will very soon.
Looking forward to: Heading to Macon this weekend to see Adam’s parents for the first time.  We told them over the phone a few weeks ago, but still haven’t seen them in person.  Can’t wait!

Pregnant!

We were pleasantly surprised to discover on September 10th that we were pregnant.  We took two tests just to be sure!

Then we clearly needed to take just a few more pictures to show our excitement at becoming Mom and Dad to-be.

And finally, the picture below is the one we will more than likely use to share our news with the Internet world, i.e. our FB friends, as well as my coworkers.  Adam already spilled the beans to his coworkers this week, so next week I think it’s time for me to do the same.
