7 weeks or less to go!

This past week seemed really busy!  We had our first childbirth class on Wednesday…it lasted 2.5 hours and we still have four more weeks of it left.  Neither of us were very impressed, as our instructor rambled on and on and was not organized in the least about the things she presented/talked about.  This does not bode well for two teachers!  Needless to say, neither of us are really looking forward to the next class.  :(

We also had another doctor’s visit, and finally got to see our actual doctor, Dr. W.  It had been a while since she wasn’t busy delivering babies at the time of our appointment.  Everything is going perfectly so far!

The weekend flew by with my wonderful, fantastic baby shower on Saturday   Mari knows me so well and did an excellent job getting it all organized.  Look for an upcoming post with pictures of that.  Just not today.  Adam had a great day too…golfing and fishing with my Dad.  Sunday I spent the day cleaning the house and getting more things organized in the nursery.  Adam put every gift we received together, so that I didn’t have too.  Our house is now really starting to look like a baby lives there!

Week 33

How far along in this pic + the Date: 33 Weeks, 1 Day — April 3rd, 2013  (BTW, I have no idea what a durian fruit is!)
Total weight gain/loss: Up 28 pounds.  After my horrible experience with that awful nurse lady two weeks, I actually lost a pound since that appointment, and Dr. W. made me feel so much better about my weight gain, telling me that I am at the ideal spot she would want me at!!
Maternity clothes? I’m starting to get tired of wearing the same couple pairs of pants for work, but I’m not about to buy anything else at this point.
Stretch Marks? Still no.
Sleep: It seems to be either really good, or really bad.
Best moment this week: Getting to celebrate baby girl with wonderful friends and family.
Miss Anything? Not being so ridiculously hot when I know my normal self would either be comfortable or even cold.
Movement: CONSTANTLY.
Food cravings: Still chocolate and ice cream as the temperature has been increasing.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Onions and their smell are still gross.
Gender: Girl.  More specifically………Avery.  We’ve been decided on this name for quite a while, but are finally starting to tell people.  The middle name is still a slight work in progress.
Belly Button in or out? Flat as can be.
Wedding rings on or off? It depends on the day.  There were several days this week that it was only in the 40’s outside, so I was able to wear my wedding ring on those days.  Today as I type, it’s 73 outside and the heat has been on in my classroom all day, and I’m on the third floor.  It was so hot, I’m pretty sure my wedding ring would be cutting off my circulation!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Emotional a lot.  Sorry Adam.
Looking forward to: Only having to be with teenagers three days this week, as I have meetings on two of the other days.  Also, it’s looking like we may go to Eureka Springs this weekend to see some of Adam’s family that I have never met!

8 weeks or less to go!

Another week closer to getting to meet our little girl.  The craziest part is now being able to say that she will be here NEXT month.  I still can’t believe it.  I didn’t get around to posting yesterday because we were busy spending Easter in Bolivar and entertaining guests on Friday/Saturday.  They have two kids, one being 10 months old, so we got a little taste of what’s to come.

Yesterday we went to my parents for church; then Dad, Adam, and I spent the afternoon on the lake fishin’ for some crappie….although the crappie were not cooperative.  Adam and Dad had a little luck with the bass though, Adam being the big winner of the day who caught enough that I lost count.  That could have to do with the fact that I got a little nap in while we were out there.  :)  Mom then had a big shrimp boil feast ready for us when we got back.  All in all it was a great weekend…would have been even better had I had off Friday and Monday like Adam though!!

Week 32

How far along in this pic + the Date: 32 Weeks, 1 Day — March 27th, 2013
Total weight gain/loss: Around 30 lbs.  I feel like my belly looks HUGE in this weeks picture!
Maternity clothes? As the weather is getting warmer, the sweaters and long-sleeve things I have are seeming to be ridiculously hot.  I now very much feel for those women who are very pregnant throughout the summer.  It must be miserable.
Stretch Marks? Still no.
Sleep: Still hit or miss.  Some nights it’s a breeze to sleep, others are more difficult.
Best moment this week: Adam felt her move on both sides of my belly at the same time.  Proof that she is getting really big/long.  Plus, I just love it any time he feels her move.
Miss Anything? Everything having to do with bending over to pick things up, getting in and out of vehicles, or in and out of bed or furniture, etc.
Movement: CONSTANTLY.
Food cravings: Still chocolate.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope…even onions are quite as bad as they were.
Gender: Girl.
Belly Button in or out? Flat.
Wedding rings on or off? Off by choice, but I still don’t like it.  :(  Just this week, though my wedding ring still fits, I’ve been paranoid about how tight it was getting when it’s been 50+ degrees outside…so I have taken it off and switched over to the new “ginormous” size 6 ring I bought.  Haha.  My wedding ring is a size 4.5, so actually the 6 is still a little loose.  I’m hoping that soon after the birth I’ll be able to put my regular ring back on.  I miss it already and it’s only been a few days.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty sure I’ve been grumpier this week as I’m getting more and more uncomfortable.
Looking forward to: My baby shower on Saturday!  I’m crossing my fingers for lot’s of the necessities that I still need for our baby girl.  Cute clothes are fun, but being the practical person that I am I’m hoping for more things that we truly need.  Also really excited to see several friends and family members who I don’t get to see very often!!
